Pre-K Detective's Club

We have been working really hard in our classroom.  We love being detectives and solving mysteries!  We created our own "secret" alphabet and we like to practice writing our names with our new code. :) Of course we really like cooking on Fridays.  We've made Dirt and Worm Cups, cookies, rainbow cakes, and fruit pizza.  Cooking is a great way for us to practice our math skills too!

Every detective loves to do experiments.  We've been using colored water and watching how it travels through different objects.  We tested it on our paper towel slides.  We wanted to see if the water would travel through the towels.  We were excited to see how it worked!
Now we are testing the water with these flowers.  We will let you know if the flowers change colors too. :)

Every day we walk out to the pond because we found a super secret hidden nest.  (We are very good detectives!)  We go and check on the eggs every morning.  So far we have counted 17 eggs.  We have to be quiet when we are out there so that the ducks don't get scared.  We are waiting patiently for them to hatch!

Thank you for allowing me to spend time with your kids!  This has been an incredible summer and I appreciate your continued support!
