have been very busy learning while

having lots of fun this Fall!!

It's amazing how much they have grown

and changed just since August.

 

"The Value of Play"

'You say that you love your children, and are

concerned that they learn today.....

...as am I, that's why I'm providing a variety

of kinds of play.  You are asking what's the value

of having your children play? Your daughter's

creating a tower, she may be a builder someday....

...You're asking me the value of blocks and sand

and clay.  Your children are solving problems, They will

use that skill every day...

You're questioning the interest centers.  They just

look like useless play.  Your children are making choices,

they'll be on their own someday...

...You're worried your children aren't learning

and later they'll have to pay.  They're learning a

pattern for learning, for they'll be learners always.'

All I Ever Really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten (Pre-K)

 Most of what I really need to know about how to live, and what to do, and how to be, I learned in Kindergarten (Pre-K) . Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school mountain, but there in the sandbox at nursery

These are the things I learned: Share everything. Play fair. Don't hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess. Don't take things that aren't yours. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. Live a balanced life. Learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work some every day.

Take a nap every afternoon. When you go out into the world, watch for traffic, hold hands, and stick together. Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the plastic cup. The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that.

Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the plastic cup ~ they all die. So do we.

 

 

And then remember the book about Dick and Jane and the first word you learned, the biggest word of all: LOOK. Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation, ecology and politics and sane living.

Think of what a better world it would be if we all ~the whole world had cookies and milk about 3 o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a nap. Or if we had a basic policy in our nation and other nations to always put things back where we found them and clean up our own messes. And it is still true, no matter how old you are, when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together

Tuition fees

Tuition and Enrollment Fees 2016-17

Tuesday and Thursday - $160 a month

Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - $200 a month

Our tuition is prorated and takes into consideration school breaks and snow days.

For those enrolling more than one child in our school, we offer a 10% discount on the tuition of each additional child.

Tuition is paid on the 15th of each month.

Please make your checks payable to Christian Life School.

A $10 service charge will be added to all insufficient checks.

If your check is received one week late there will be a $10.00 late fee added.
The amount increases by $10 for each week late.

            Wow! The summer has completely flown by! In the past couple months, my classes have gone through superhero training, learned how to cook based on comics, solved mysteries, and created a 3D comic book scene. In these classes, my friends practiced math, science, and literacy skills. They also learned how to work cooperatively with others to accomplish a common goal. To be honest, I had no idea how 6-year-olds could possibly be interested in and participate in the same activities as 5th graders. But boy did these kids prove me wrong!

This summer I learned that age and differences aren't enough to stop kids from working together and having fun!
