Ms. Jana's Sweet Class

We were so excited to plant our seeds!

I asked the class what they would like to plant in the garden, and here's what they had to say:

"I want to plant seeds"

"I want to plant weeds"

"Butterflies"

"Baby Honey Bees"

"Birds"

"I like Birds"

"Birds will come visit our flowers"

"I like mushrooms"

"I don't like mushrooms"

I also asked the class what they thought was the best thing about a garden, they said:

"My Mom loves flowers"
"My Mom loves butterflies"
"My Mom loves carrots!"

Toddler Class: SO Unbelievable!

"Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart." ~Confucius

For Valentine's Day we talked about hearts, big/little, the color red and saying "I love you" with words and sign language.

We took a quick trip outside to watch the geese and ducks.

DRUMLINE!!

Geniuses at work.

We planted seeds for veggies and herbs.

Inspecting the progress.

We still have our favorite activites: playdough, TRAINS and blocks.

Our Bird City

The Pre-K students have been working very hard!  We studied birds and their habitats during the fall.  Now the children have decided to make the birds a "city."  We are researching bird feeders, baths, houses and nests.

We have spent a lot of time planning.  Today, each class made a mural of our bird city.  We drew and labeled our plans.

We've been using blocks and other classroom supplies to plan and practice building.

Now we are ready to begin our building process.

We've made a simple supply list.  We are working with a few local businesses for donations.  We would appreciate any help you could give us!  If you have supplies or would like to help out in the classroom please let us know!

Here are a few things that we need:
plywood
wood screws
wood glue
chicken wire
bird seed
fabric
plastic containers (yogurt cups, berry baskets, etc.)
net bags (vegetable bags)
plastic trays

We are starting with bird feeders.  Soon we will be making bird baths and houses.  We will also be planning a field trip.  We are so excited to start this new project.  Thank you so much for your continued support!
